Controller at Tranemo Municipality

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a controller, you will work both independently and together with your colleagues on budgeting, financial follow-ups, accounting, and analysis of financial data. You will also assist in preparing cases and decision-making materials. You will work with one of the municipality's sections as well as with tasks for the municipality's development company.

The municipality's development company owns rental properties and will also take over the municipality's vehicle fleet at the turn of the year. Tasks include, among other things, accounting, VAT declarations, asset accounting, year-end closing, budget and forecasting work, and the preparation of financial decision-making materials for the CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, structured, and enjoy working both individually and collaboratively.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, but you should also have:

  • A university degree in finance or other education/experience that the employer finds equivalent
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel

Experience in public finance and knowledge of corporate accounting is an advantage.

You need to be flexible, enjoy challenges, and have a strong interest in working in a public organization.
